An IIT of an education

On our recent trip to India I took a couple of students to my Alma Mater, IIT-Madras. It was during the Saarang festival week. The students and I were awestruck at the commercialization of the festival that we called the Mardigras when I was studying there. We were given a tour by KL, a gregarious MBA student who had worked in a call center in the past with a screen name of Joe. Along with great facilities, including an Olympic size swimming pool that had SZ (who is on the swim team) going blue with envy, IIT showed the vibracy of higher education.
