Freedom of Speech- Not for those who refuse to think

The likes of Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, and the Fox folks want freedom of speech, but refuse to exercise any grey cells. Freedom of speech is tied to the responsibility to read, to think, and to learn (among others), just as the freedom to have a child is tied to the responsibility of raising it as a proper citizen. These politicians assume that they are at liberty to say whatever comes into their mouth. Unfortunately there is no punishment for reckless abuse of this freedom. Perhaps the Colleges and Universities that have issued degrees should cancel them for abuse or misuse of the privileges.
